FLOYD Library
reimagined the start-up office to foster greater focus and collaboration, carefully infilling the space so as not demolish or dispose of existing materials in the process.

Originally designed as an adaptive reuse project in keeping with Floyd’s ethos of durability and minimal waste, Floyd HQ converted a 3,200 SF former meat storage warehouse in Detroit’s Eastern Market district into a combination retail/office space, which included research and development (R&D) facilities and a showroom of company products. As the company evolved along with conventions of workplace interaction, a renovation infilled the office, adding a new degrees of flexibility fostered by their growth and our new ways of working.
